Rosegal: Product Review

Hello ladies, hope you all are doing well. Life's been crazy busy. Last semester in college seems full of assignments and projects *phew*. My freelancing projects have taken a toll on me and that is why I haven't been able to do much on my blog.

I was contacted by this lovely lady from Rosegal, which is an online shopping store. They asked me to do a product review by sending me 2 products of my choice. It is an online store and they have a merchandise ranging from apparel to a wide variety of accessories at an extremely reasonable price. They mainly specialize in Vintage clothing and have a very impressive range.

They sent me a Metal bead embellished lace cuff chiffon blouse and a Gemstone embellished multi-layered beaded pendant necklace. I received these products via post in a span of 2 weeks from the date of selection. I totally love them and i recommend you all to check out this site for a lot of gorgeous stuff in shocking prices.

Here a few pictures of me in the blouse:

The Amazing Lace

Yet again, their was no shortage of lace in the latest lineups. This timeless fabric is back...and back with a bang with some modern touches. From skirts to tops, purses, ball gowns, shoes, bags, hats, lace has taken over the runways. The fabric that was associated mostly with neutral  colors has now taken up even bright colors and a graphical touch to it. Lace adds a feminine, girls edge to your look and can be styled with fitted jeans, trousers, leather and even cashmere. It is a classy way  to dress up any outfit and it without a doubt executes the look and feel of holidays. It is a spectacular mix of elegance and refinement and is perfect for formal wear. Staying fabulous and sophisticated can be fairly made simple by adding this elegance and refinement to your formal wardrobe.
Here I teamed my pretty cropped lace top with scalloped edges with beige trousers.

HELLO DECEMBER! FIRMOO REVIEW

HELLO DECEMBER! My favorite time of year, that is filled with joy, love, decorations, winter chill, shopping, carols, celebrations...and much more. As anticipated, I promised myself that I will do a post per week, so here I am back with another post...and this time it is a Review! After hosting a fabulous give-away by FIRMOO, I could not resist from getting a pair for myself. My visit to the optician proved to be beneficial, as he told me that I need to start using corrective glasses. My long lasting wish of wearing glasses came true and I finally got an opportunity to shop from Firmoo. :D

ABOUT FIRMOO: Firmoo has 601K+ fans on Facebook and their mission is to offer varieties of unbelievable cheap yet fashionable prescription and Plano eye wear to consuming public. I totally love their new collection.

My love for Leopard prints never fades away. So, I tried incorporating it in my eye-wear too, by choosing a frame with leopard print in Cat Eye shape. I loved the fact that I had a lot of varieties to choose from and the prescription form was very precise and included all the minute details. Apart from the usual prescription, I even had a choice to incorporate other features like anti-glare, tinted-glass etc. with some additional price.

It overall was a pleasant experience shopping from FIRMOO, and yeah! I totally recommend them. I am even giving away a $30 coupon for my readers who can use the voucher code "MEMYPENDOWNBLOGS4"to shop from The Classic Series while checkout.

Here are a few pictures of my glasses:

Have fun shopping! much love. x

Fall/Winter 2013: Calling out for masculine patterns

Hello! Long time no see! Time has been mercilessly flying for me during this brief month or so, exams and different projects have taken a toll on me, and working hard day by day only accelerates this inevitable phenomenon. But finally I managed to pull myself together and do some justice to my blog.

This winter seems promising. There is chill in the air and it is a very good change from the usual hot climate here in India. So its time to get out those jackets, beanies, mufflers etc and keep yourself warm and stylish at the same time.

This years Fall trends are very interesting. As leopard prints, and colors like deep greens, grays, oranges and whites are still very "In", a touch of newness is brought in by prints like Herringbone, Houndstooth, pinstripes and Prince of Wales checks or Glen Plaid. These timeless business patterns are the real trends. Categorized broadly under men's classic prints, these old school prints and patterns have been brought in this season and were widely used on the ramp by many designers. It is all about the sophistication of the print, whether you are wearing for a say at work or casually.

While Pinstripes give that classy look with a feminine touch, Herringbone creates a stripy optical effect which definitely makes you look dashingly elegant. Houndstooth which has always been looked as the old school print, has been given a makeover and now it is everywhere from jackets to shoes. Plaid is another old traditional pattern that has made quite a buzz this year on the runway. Designers paired plaid with pinstripes, tweeds and other eye-catching prints for a hip take on the classic style.

So, if you are looking for a smart look this season then I definitely recommend you get some items in your wardrobe with these prints immediately. Go ahead and look chic and profoundly elegant.
